Tinker Cliffs is a half-mile ridgeline of Tuscarora quartzite cliffs offering sweeping views north and east over the Catawba Valley — quieter than McAfee Knob with equally stunning scenery. The Andy Layne Trail from the northeast provides dedicated access. Part of the Roanoke Triple Crown alongside Dragon's Tooth and McAfee Knob. No camping at the cliffs.
