Beach camping on Mustang Island in Port Aransas, TX. RV camping, tent camping, and non-self-contained camping is permitted anywhere on the beach (Marker 0 to Marker 62). Requires a $12 annual City of Port Aransas beach parking permit — available at City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, and local gas stations, grocery, and convenience stores. FREE parking (no permit) between the Jetties and Horace Caldwell Pier, and between Markers 52-58. Rules: park perpendicular to water, stay 25 ft from driving lane, 200 ft from beach access road, 50 ft from water's edge. 3-night camping limit per any 3-week period.
