Hike to Double Falls, a scenic waterfall along Ford Creek in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest near Augusta, Montana. The free 20-site campground (vault toilet, no drinking water) sits along the creek a few hundred yards below the falls. Located on the edge of the Bob Marshall Wilderness — one of the largest roadless wilderness areas in the lower 48. Bear country: mandatory food storage required. Roads can become muddy in wet conditions. From Augusta, MT drive south on Main St, turn right on Benchmark Rd, and drive west 19.5 miles to the campground.
