The most isolated front-country campground in the Smokies. Accessed via Happy Valley Rd off Chilhowee Rd (gravel). Two approaches to Abrams Falls from here: Little Bottoms Trail (8 miles RT, along the creek) or Hatcher Mountain Trail loop. No reservation required — just show up and pay at the iron ranger. Note: the road in is gravel, passable for cars but slow. Dogs allowed on leash at the campground, not on NPS trails.
