Night Runner
The trail after dark is a completely different place. Your headlamp throws a small cone of light into the black. The sounds amplify. Your pace changes. Most runners who go out after dark once go back again and again — there's a particular kind of focus you just can't get during daylight.

Good to Know
Run a trail you already know in daylight before going after dark. Your headlamp covers about 20 feet — your spatial memory fills in the rest.
300+ lumens gives you enough light to run confidently. Charge it before you go, carry a backup battery. Batteries drain faster in the cold.
Night running is a sensory reset. Without visual noise, you notice wind direction, temperature changes, frogs. Most people find it surprisingly peaceful after the first mile.
Trek4Free runs entirely on the honor system. Mark it when you've done it. We trust you.
